Did you know.... chocolate milk is becoming a favorite post workout drink among serious athletes. The combination of protein and carbs helps speed muscle recovery and gives the athlete some quick energy.
As long as you are wearing exercise clothes when you drink it, I think it makes you look like an athlete. Seriously, though, years ago "they" used to say that runners should avoid dairy products, but these days they offer chocolate milk as a post-marathon choice, along with fresh fruit and so on. Can't wait until they start offering beer and pizza as a post workout treat. I'll definitely take up marathoning then.
This summer I moved to Ottawa to start a new job.
When a visitor comes to Ottawa he or she is likely to have limited time and will want to see the major attractions: Parliament, the Canal, the Babe (Balcony type, of course). Since there are other little tidbits that are interesting, but not necessarily interesting enough to visit, I will make some short blog posts about them for your reading pleasure.
